I have a 10gal planted tank.

I have 3 small danios, 3 guppies, and 2 swordtails.

I did about a 40% water change on Sunday and since then two of the three danios have started swimming on top of the water with little movement until I feed them. They are normally very active.

The other fish are fine and act normal. Also, I've noticed that my plants are turning brown.

Any idea what this could be.

Need to look at your stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Did you add declorinator to the fresh water.
Is there enough aeration in the tank.

I did dechlorinate the tank, and I have an air stone that has been doing well for a long while now.

I treated the water with a Ph neutralizer that also detoxifices ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite.

I would check your ph then as that could be the problem.

Have you always used the PH neutralizer?
What was the PH before being adjusted?
If this is the first time you've used it, then its very likely that its use is the problem.....
PH operates on a logarithmic scale which means that what appears to us as a small shift is actually a large change (especially from the fishes perspective).
If its your first application of this product i'd use a couple of small water changes, 10% or so to adjust the PH slightly closer to its original level....
Anychance you've overdosed with it?
