dANIOS AND SWORD TAILS

I have four female swordtails and three giant danios the danios keep attacking the swordtails ! HELP is there anything i should Know?

Hi there. Dannios can be a bit nippy at the best of times. Did the swordtails go in at the same time as the dans? Sometimes adding a different species to an established shoal of other fish can cause problems. Also, dannios like to be kept in a fairly large shoal of at least 4 or 5. You could message the wolf, he's the expert on dannios.

what sized tank are they in? Like all danios, if the enviroment is too small they can become very nippy.
giant danios grow to 15.2cm and, as glolite has said, they need to be in groups of 5 at least.

My tank is a 58 litre tank and the danios are only about 5 cm each

with in 2 months they will be over 4" in length, please find them a new home before that happens

Go for zebra diano's as they stay small and bigger the number the less hassle you get hopefully.
