Danios Acting Really Strange

One of my Danios keeps darting forward and scraping its body purposly on the bodwood on pumice bubblewall stone in my tank. I never seen then do this beofre but it look really aggitated.

What is wrong with it?

sounds like a parisite and it is trying to rub it off.

Check water quality in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, if that fine it sounds like a parasite.

Darting
Water quality problems, skin parasites, drug side effects, stray voltage in the tank

Its also known as "flashing" which is a term they get from there looking like flashes all over the tank when shiney fish do it.

As said before they're irritated either by something in the water quality, a recent water change, or an external parasite.

If they're doing it right after weekly water changes and you're not changing too much water (20% is my limit), its conditioned, and the temp is right....then I wouldn't worry about it. Some fish just don't like water changes, like some livebearers.

Otherwise.....something needs to be checked.

Thanks for your replies, the LFS said it might have been the live daphnia i plonked in there earlier in the day irritating them. Any thoughts on this?
