Hi :/

I have 4 Zebra danios in my 10G. Got 'em about a week ago, and they've been getting along great. I have 2 males and 2 females (randomly selected from a net in a tank of about 50). Today they havent been getting along as well.. they seem to have split, and each male is chasing around a female in the tank really fast. They (the males) sometimes circle around the females doing what looks like 360 spins. It's neat to watch but..

is this normal? they were so busy doing this that they didn eat.. i dont want them breeding/anyone getting murdered.

this is normal behavoiur when kept in the wrong conditions
dainos, due to their level of activness need more than 10 gallons
and the should be in groups, at the very least 5 but 6 or more is better.

far too often they will end up killing each other if continued to be kept in small containers.

Well I have three options. They do seem to be chasing each other quite a bit but nobody is getting hurt.

1. leave them in there (maybe they'll knock if off eventually?)
2. Buy one more, but then I risk being overstocked and more killing
3. Return them - dont wanna do this at all, since nobody is missing fins or flesh or anything. There are plently of plants to hide in and thats what they do.

FYI the tank already has the danios and:
-1 male betta
-3 cory cats
-ADF/Ghost Shrimp (never see them, always in a plant)

This is why I think adding one more is pushing it. What do you guys think?

I plan on buying even more plants tmrw, perhaps this will help? If another danio may make them school again like they have been the 5 days before this, ill grab one then too....
