Danio Lost Balance.

HI

MY Danio got caught in plastic grass over a year ago. She came out all squashed and layed on the bottom for three days. She finally managed to start swimming but always swam funny (tail is always slightly higher). Any way she got swam around happierly.

Then I once notice she was missing, I found her in the filter and got her out in tim. She was ok. ( forgot to mention this was about a year ago too). She has been fine since.

but...

Over the last few days she has slowly lost her balance and it doing hand stands. She keeps floating to the top. I have put her into a net breeder and keeping my fingers crossed she pulls through, although she looks very weak.


Any ideas??

I had a fish once that dis headstands. turned out he had a swim bladder infection.

Maybe yours got damaged in the filter?

Fish can damage there swim bladder, but it was a year ago, but she does have swin bladder now, there not much to be done once it progresses.

You could try feeding her cooked de-shelled peas. Although she may be already to damaged to help. But it's worth a shot to see if anything is possible.
