Hey peeps

I have one Danio left from 6, the others have just died for no apparant reason over the last 6 months (all other fish are fine) although one did have a large sist a couple of months ago, so i removed it from the tank.

The one i have left has become very large over the last week or so, almost pregnant looking. im just a bit worried. :look:

Does it have sticky out scales....like a pine cone?
Hi

Not the greatest piccys, but all one fish. your thoughts please.

she is dine.
I've had a female look similar to that for ages.
It is genetic; I belive this is partly due to the
amount of inbreeding in the species.
providing she is eating well there is nothing to worry about.

Thx you.

It is normal for adult female danios to be completely full of eggs and fat looking. ESPECIALLY the short-finned variety.

I've got 1 Golden Zebra Danio left. I think it's female, and apparently the females just look pregnant all the time. I've had a danio so big it looked like it was about to explode!!! ... or implode... whichever comes first. :p

Maybe your other ones were all males? Maybe she really is pregnant?
I dunno, just sayin' my two bits.
