Danio Id Please....

Hi, i got given 4 of these, i was told they were brought as "Candy Bar Danio's", can anyone identify them correctly.

they are about 2" in length, about the same size and build of the "Giant Danio's" I have for sale in LFS

just looks like a regular pearl danio to me

It is a giant danio of some sort. Can't give you a scientific name because heaps of them look similar and I can't find that particular one in my books.

I have received a PM saying it maybe a Devario Malabaricus(malabar danio) what do you guys think?

nope not that species. It's close but slightly different, as are most of them. Certainly in the Devario genus tho

I agree it is a giant danio, but these ones seem to have more lines, if you look at the photo mine have 4 lines, Devario aequipinnatus usually have only 2.

I agree, just looks like your typical aequipinnatus to me.
