I've never really observed my danios closely as they're always actively swimming about and surfing in the out take from my filter!

However, this morning my danio female picked a corner and its almost like she is patrolling it, she is swimming round and round the wood that is leaning against the corner and the male is darting in and out like a crazy man, but she keeps chasing him off and then returning to her 'area'. The male is really persistent and for a split second they will swim around in a circle almost attached together and then split off. I know they are not egg protectors or the like but is this some type of courting behaviour?

Whilst doing this behaviour i opened the hood and they shot up to the surface for some food, so they are feeling right as rain lol and then when i closed it they went back to doing the same thing..

Anyone with a bit more knowledge on breeding behaviours?
