I thought I was smart and had it all figured out. Put the fancy males in the big tank where they can show off and look so pretty under the lights, of course taking the one big female guppy left and all the fry and put them in the 10 gallon, to grow out nicely. Fry really seem to grow up fast in the 10 gallon, not to mention the tetras don't get to munch on them! 
Well, all has gone swimmingly for about two months. One large sterile albino female....and a buncha fry growing out nicely. I'm all excited to see their colours develop and decide which I want. I plan to keep only a few and the rest go to the local lfs, who sez I have cute guppies.

Well I go to feed the teenage fry tonight and what the HEY?!?!?!?
18 new fry all in one corner of the 10 gallon! No fry male in there even has developed his gonopodium never mind got any frisky ideas. Has my sterile female been holding out on me? Or did the larger fry females get knocked up in infancy before I got them out of the 25 gallon? 
That's impossible. Immaculate conception uh uh. I am beginning to wonder if my supposedly sterile, never shown a gravid spot, the guys are never interested in her, albino female has been pulling a fast one!
I mean I know females can hold sperm for ages and pop out several bunches of fry but.....her? 
Oh well the fry are as cute as buttons. 
I guess she wasn't as unattractive to the males as I thought! 
Dang, I really want some guppy condoms! Anybody know where I can buy a case?
