I have 6 green chromis in my system and 3 of them, when they are under the actinic light only look like they have light patches on them. Do you guys think they are missing scales or something else?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

Chromis phosphoresce differently based on lighting and mood. Many fish can develop scale color patterns when their mood changes. Unless you actually see scales missing I wouldnt worry too much

Agreed, my chromis look completely different at one end of the tank than they do at the other. Mine also look "patchy" sometimes as they swim around only to turn around and look totally perfect.

I once owned a damsel fish that was almost certainly a hybrid between Chromis viridis and Amblyglyphidodon sp. as it possessed the colours of a green chromis but the body shape of an Amblyglyphidodon. Anyways, it assumed a striped pattern at night which was profoundly different from the same specimen in the day time.

Thanx for the input guys :) I was wondering if they were sick or not.
