Ok, a few weeks ago my betta dies, this happend.
JC2.JPG

Is what happend, I put some cardianls in and the next day this happend.
He died very fast. All otherr fish were fine except most the cardianls died except three.
So, a few weeks have past and yesturday i went to one of the LFS.
I bought, 6 cardinals, 2 swordfish and one betta all from the same shop.
All were fine in the shop.
Now i just looked and my new betta has exactly the same thing, but no dead cardinals and nothing else dead!!

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. WHY ONLY THE BETTAS?????????????????
I've added meds fast, so hopefully I can save this one.
:dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

How bad is it, I doubt it being the cardinals, as that fish has really bad fins, try a salt bath and add some salt to the tank, how big is the tank, what are your test results in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, maybe best not to keep betta in the same tank as the others.

Test results are spot on. It starts as a spot on their bodies then grows outwards.
Last time I put a betta in, dont want them dieing all the time!!!!

Spamming, I put it on here and the Betta section. Hardly spaming!!!

Did the betta come from the same place, does it grow into a white patch on the sides of the body.

From same place.
Dont you remember the last one I was tlaking to you about Wilder???

Same Prob

Everything was fine, not all cardinals dies last time. All seemed fine!!! Then this!

If it's a white patch on the side of the body it's columnaris, it's in your tank and it will infect other fish, that's why I said strip the tank down and start again.

Yea, but you said only if the other cardinals die. They didnt and every thing else is fine.
Its only the Bettas. Oh and its grey and black.
Hmmmmmmmmmm.......

Add some salt to the tank, and do some salt dips, are the scales coming away where the patch is.

No, scales are fine.
Wont salt affect my plecs as they are scaleless.

Can you take the fish to the lfs and have a scrape done on it to see if it is a parasite.

Not right now cause its evening.
But if he dies i will take him back to find out whats going on.
I will do salt dips though.

Just not sure about salt in tank with plecs?

Damn, hes died already :-( :-( :-(
Nothing worked. Poor little thing, thats the second one now.
Gonna take him back to find out what was wrong at the LFS.

:rip: little buddy, im sorry
