Hiya,
I have a half black half sivr male guppy.
I woke up this morning and there was 2 tears in his tail and the middle part is mostly missing.
I have treated tank with meds to stimulate healing.
My question is should I seperate him from rest of tank in a breeder net to let him heal or leave him in tank with others.
I dont know whats happened but the neon tetras have been chasing each other constantly for a few days so mayby he has come inbetween them
I really dont want him to die as hes my favourite.
His front half is silver back half black but his lips and all fins are black too and he looks so cool.
I tested water yesterday and all perameters were fine.
Thanks

hi this happened to me about 2 months ago and i quarantined just in case!
Not sure if it was the right thing to do or not but it seemed to be what the little man needed! is the fin badly nipped? and does he seem to be in a great deal of distress? if so.... Moving him could cause more stress! but if not it cant hurt can it?

Just as a matter of interest, i dont suppose you have a female guppy like the one youre on about too do you?
Its just i have just bought a female guppy silver at front and black at the back with blue fins and its gravid spot is very black and im not sure if its pregnant or just the natural colourings of the fish.

hes in no distress at all . hes swimming fine playing in the bubbles from the filter etc and eating fine.
No I dont have a female like that but if I ever see a female like that I would buy her.
