My friend had a tank with guppies and bolivian rams, but the rams killed one of the guppies and badly nipped anothers tail and dorsal fin, he was worried so he sent his remaining guppies over to my guppy/platy tank. the hurt one missing about 1/4 of its tail, nipped off at the back, and it only has about 3 millimeters of its dorsal fin, will the damaged fins grow back?

if the fin is nipped back to the body then no it will not grow back but if no infections set in then they should be ok.
Use melifix or myxazin to help stop any infections

Thanks, it still has alot of its tail left so I hope it will be ok.

It will grow back but add clearasil stress coat as it helps regenarate tissus on a fish. O and anothere good way would be to put the heat up a bit as I find it helps heal wounds/regenarate tails and fins faster.

Stress coat may help but i would not alter the temperature.
The raising the temp will also allow fungal and bacterial to infect quicker and a sudden change of temp can cause stress to fish allowing fungal and bacterial infections to set in befor the fish is ready.
