It looks like our feather fin catfish have been fighting, There are a couple of marks on one and the other seems to have a slightly damaged fin. The only thing I am worried about is infection. Should I worry? Is there anything I can put in the tank to stop the wounds getting infected??

the obvious signs of physical damage are indeed split fins plus missing scales damage to the mouth & body ia badly damaged fish may become listless & just lay there it is a good idea to treat any fish that are damaged otherwise any wounds may become infected with fungi, bacteria or parasites also if you can it might be wise to seperate any aggressive tank mates

How big is the tank in gallons, how many fish and which type, and what are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

I think it was more a terratorial battle, They both have there own little pog.

Its a 219L tank.

ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - about 40
ph - 7.6

Just wanted to check water quality it's fine, melafix is good for wounds, but they can heal on there own in good water quality.

Just keep an eye on it to make sure it dosn't get infected.

Great news, yes a healthy fish in good water quality can heal themselves.
