damaged fish scales

one of my goldfish has a redy/white scale inflamed
i think it must off caught it on a sharp edge of something

what is the best treatment or should it heal its self

Just keep a check on it....as long as it isnt getting larger you should be fine.
Most scrapes and cuts arent that serious and will heal fine on their own.
If it starts to get larger try putting some peroxide on it (with a Q-Tip...dont dunk your fish in it,lol),if all else fails, go to the store and get some medication.They'll know what to give ya. . good luck!
