I am slightly concerned about my angelfish, but since I have never had them before, it's hard for me to know if I'm paranoid. I was worried that it's dorsel fin looked damaged. I still have carbon in my filter removing medication. There shouldn't be any water quality issues other then that. I did a 70% water change this weekend.

It looks damaged alright. Is there any whitish stuff at the ends of the damaged fin? If it's only damaged then regular water changes and perfect water stats would do. Otherwise you may try with melafix for a few days( I know you are sick of medicating as it is  )

It's really nonstop right now. There is Not anything whitish on the end, just the odd shaped fin. There is still some melafix in the water {a half-dose} but I have been running carbon in my filter to remove it. I can still smell it though. I'll keep my eye on it now then and do an extra water change this week.

Thanks for the response. I feel like I'm so paranoid now, I'm peering in searching for odd shaped poop and weird behavior all the time. Aquariums are peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable at some point right?

Just a quick update. Thanks AGAIN for your help. The angelfish has regrown most of it's fin, more then halfway up the point in the pics. It must have damaged it on something. Good news from somewhere :)
