We have 2 dalmations and just this afternoon one of them starting swimming like it doing barrel rolls. Is it going to die soon? We lost one bottom feeder recently, and one mickey mouse gold platy about 2 weeks ago too, which sucks cause we have 2 of them and they have 5 babies already.

Also both the dalmations fin tips look like they are brown. Is this a disease?

We just did a water change yesterday.
I will admit we do need to have the water tested.
Its a 125 Gallon. We have 2 Dalmations, 1 Mickey Mouse Gold Platy, 2 Neon Tetras, 3 Tetras, 2 bottom feeders, and one algae eater.

How old is the tank and any new filters on it?
Also need tests for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph

It died :( I finally convinced them to take a sample to be tested and to change the filter as its been 2 months since they did that. Thats 1 fish per week for the last 3 weeks.

Shame the molly died. What type of filter ?
If its sponge then it only needs a good wash out in a bucket of used tank water or two if its really dirty.

ITS ALIVE!! I thought it was dead but I guess it wasnt. We use the carbon filter.

She is having the water tested today and is going to do the hospital tank thing.

Instead of barrel roll swimming it swims more on its side now.

You would be better to get a filter where a lot of beneficial bacteria can grow, so one with sponges or bits of ceramic for the bacteria to settle on.
What other fish do you now have left?
The brown sounds like ammonia or nitrite poisoning so its a good idea to have your own tests and not rely on the store to do it as they usually say its fine.
Do a 50% water change with gravel vac and the same in a couple of days.
Mollies do better in a more brackish set up. Do you have a tank you can set up to hospitalise the mollie in?

No we dont. Our filter can take some of the ceramic bits in addition to the carbon filter so maybe ill get them to try that too. The dalmation is barely alive at the moment. It swims around sparingly but is usually upside down now. It doesnt seem to want to eat either, fish flakes will float all around it but it doesnt even make an effort to eat them. As for fish left they now have:

1 gold micky mouse platy
1 red wag
2 dalmations (including sick one)
2 bottom feeders
1 algea eater
3 tetras
2 neon tetras

and about 8 baby fish that look to be a cross between red wag/gold micky mouse platy (is that possible?)

Do a large water change now! It is probably the swim bladder, a easy fix if the fish will eat. Take some frozen peas, boil them and then take there shells of, then crush them into a mush and try to pursuade the mollie to eat it. The brown stuff is probably fin and tail rot. Go and get a med called anti-fungus from petsmart, it works extremly well. Your tank seems a little emty, try getting some kribs, they are awsome fish that are very peaceful and only aggressive when breeding. You should buy your own freshwater master test kit so you can moniter your tank carefully because the ifs dont know what they are doing unless the store is homeowned.
