Dalmation Molly

Hello, this is my first post! I have a tank with some mollies in it. One of my mollies is a full grown dalmatian male, and is active and forages but never eats flake food. He only eats algae. Is this normal behavior?

No I've never heard of an algae eating Molly.....

We had 2 Mollys that loved algae wafers but they also loved flake, bloodworms, brine shrimp and anything else I fed them. The Sailfin male Molly especially like the algae wafers.

My mollies love algae wafers but not just algae if that's what you meant....

I haven't given him any wafers, because it seems like they just mess up the place for me and cause my fish to have bloated stomachs. All the mollies eat algae of decorations and glass but the dalmatian only eats algae, no flake food.

Mollies will graze for algae. It's normal, no worries. Just keep an eye on him and make sure he isn't getting too thin.
