Dad came in my room this morning with a dead dalmation molly and blue dwarf gourami, was kinda surprised as we never saw this coming, they were okay last night like the rest of them. No signs of disease or fighting etc. Just dead.
Even more surprised after testing the water:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10-15 (its darker than 10, but nowhere near 20)
pH 6.8
Temp 27oC
Last water change was a week ago, and about 25%. Treated water with conditioner before putting it in the tank, and rose the temperature also nearer 27oC.
Any ideas what could have killed them? I know mollys thrive in brackish water, but we still have another one which is alive, and they were getting on good, but to lose a gourami too at the same time. My dad mentioned that one of the gouramis seemed to be staying at the top of the tank last night, whether it was the one that died i dont know.
Just a strange coincidence? Or something else.
