So I moved my female dalmation molly into my 10 gallon tank. It has other fish in it because they haven't been moved into my new bigger tank due to still cycling.

I noticed the bigger tank (where the female molly came from) has ich so I am treating both tanks for ich now.

Anyways, my fiance told me when I got home from work that our molly has been hanging out at the bottom of the tank. I fed her and she did eat what I fed her. She is moving more but still kind of slow and staying at the bottom of the tank. Is this what they do before they give birth? I have no idea because last time she had babies I didn't even know she was pregnant until I just happend to see them in the tank.

Thanks,
Kelly

Yes, that is normal behaviour before giving birth, however it's difficult to get mollies to breed if there's any problems in the tank. Coming from a partially cycled tank with an outbreak of ich, I'd be surprised if she gives birth, but here's hoping! Good luck.

I noticed the ich a few days after I had moved her to the smaller tank. I am constantly looking at my fish. I am just treating the tank I put her in as a just in case. She does not have any spots on her at all.

Shes moving around her little area. I sectioned off a small part of a 10 gallon tank just for her. She has about 2 gallons of area to herself with some live plants around.

Her movements are slower than usual so I am hoping tonight. I can't see a gravid spot because she is already too dark. I am just anxiously waiting I guess.

I have 2 other babies from her that were born 5 weeks ago from this monday. She has to be pregnant because they were doing their thing the day I noticed babies. I just quarintined her off a few days ago (30 days after the birth of her first). Can't wait!!!!
