I have two Dalmation Mollies, a Male and a Female. Since I got them, the Male has got really big, and has turned almost completely black. The Female on the other hand started off being pure white, and now she is getting more and more black spots all over her body. Is this normal, and is it an indication of them being in heat or something? Also, what colour are they likely to end up?

I doubt its ammonia burns. Ammonia burns would probably kill a molly. Mollies are sensitive to water conditions. Color changes can happen because of diet (some food can make fish more red if they have caroten in them) but I think its more likely the mollies are changing colors as they become full grown. Sometimes as fish get older their full colors develop. Its the same thing as when kids have blonde hair as a child but as they grow older their hair turns brown.

its happened to my mollies tow of them were dalmation and one turned nearly all black it alos happened to a sailfin that was mostly silver it then beacme more like 50:50 ratio of balck to silver lol   but they are kool

Yeah....its mos def not ammonia burns. I thought it might be that the male is getting randy, so he changes colour, because this happens to male Guppies to some extent. Im not worried about it or anything, I was just interested to know what experiences other people had had with them :)
