My dalmation mollie is pregnant but how can you tell when they will g ive birth? i have her in a floating hatchery. i can't have her in my tank cause she and my other female dalmation keep fighting. i let her out and the two of them immediatly went at it almost like a dog chasing it's tail.

will her behavior change after the fry are born?

If she is very big and her belly is square at the back then she is close. Her attitude may change after she has the fry but mollies sometimes dont get along with each other, specially the females. Just make sure there are hiding places in the tank for her to rest in after she gives birth. Good Luck :)

i was trying to keep her in the breeder since i have a pleco in the tank as well, though i did let her out and the 2 females seem to be getting along .

congrats on the lil ones.do u know what to feed them :)
yep females can be not so nice with one another but like tstenback said
their attude will change after they have thier babies

my two mollies ar e getting along though the occasional chase around the tank hehe. right now i have first bites which i'm feeding them. still on the lookout for more fry! :D

 14 fry!!!! so happy

i'm just not sure who the mother is..... had a marble mollie who i thought was preg. and now she looks back to size while my other dalmation is still looking like she'll explode!
