Dalamation Molly A Bully?

I just bought a dalmation molly and I dont know if its a boy or a girl but it seems to nipping at my silver mollies. After nipping he/she rubs up against the side of the silver molly. Is this an act of aggression or is it a mating thing? Some one who can clue me in would be great!

Sounds like it is trying to mate with it. They are easy to tell the sex. A male in the 'business area' has basically a pe.nis, whereas the female does not. It has like a fin close by.

You should of bought a group of Dalmations. I recommend you go buy another 2 or 3, making sure you get a couple of females.

Crazy u saying this, i just got a dalmation and its doing the exact same thing to my male sailfin molly, the female dalmation is constantly chasing him and i wondered if it was been aggresive, but it seems like it just wants to mate with him, he aint showing much interest in her and the more he dont, the more she seems to want him, soon as he erects his fins to the other females, she is straight across as if to say "come on boy im willing lol"

I figured with two black female mollies and 3 silver mollies 2 of them being female that he would be totally interested. Should I stay with same color or does it matter are they more attracted to females of the same color?

My 'golden' mollie male is quite happy with his two 'golden' girls and three dalmation girls A little too happy if you ask me!

I got my white male salefin 2 matching girls, also got him 2 black females, and 1 dalmation, he just wants them all except the dalmation but she wants him badly lol
