Hi all - for the past 5 moths I have had a 180L tank housing 2 Cyrtocara Mooris in. They are doing really well but the tank suffers from lots of algae growth. I have decided to move the tank due to the excessive sunlight that pours in the room that it is currently housed in - and hope that this will reduce the strong algae growth.
Also - I have been feeing them on small Tetra Crisps which they love but I think that as they are alone in the tank there is bound to be excessive waste of food that contributes to the algae problem. I have tried floating sticks but am worried that they are too shy to come to the top to grab these (and this results in the sticks stagnating near the internal filter inlet).
Any tips for reduce algae growth and the best dry food to feed the pair on. I'mhoping they will spawn but there is no sign so far...

to start with you need atleast 3 females to 1 male!
i bet you your female is getting chased around all the time or u have 2 females or 2 males!

You could try tetra prima granular food, this sinks gradualy and all of my fish love it (moori included)

As to the algae do u have any plecs in there? if not get some they do a great job of keeping algae under control( bristlenose plecs are probably the best i have seen and they wont get 2 big either )
