Hi, have noticed a couple of the females have what I believe to be "quite a mouthfull", have been watching some heavy flirting behaviour as of late and tonight I sat and watched them in the act, seen the exchange etc, very very cool, sorry no pics./videos---crappy phone in other room---to transfixed to get it. Now I have a rough idea how long they will hold for, the problem I have is they are in the community tank so not sure how they will go about releasing any fry. Bummer is I sold the 2 smaller tanks
What I was wondering was, , , anyone here kept them ? How did you go about getting the fry, strip or spit naturally ? Any thoughts , ideas , tips ?

Can only say what my plans are I have a female with a mouthfull ordered a cheap fish trip and am hoping to catch the fry as she spits if I knew how long she has been carrying I would put her in it after 17 days

We talking plastic guppy breeder or are we talking box shaped net, which I have both of, raised dwarf sumbu in the net, , ,
are you placing the female in the net to get her to spit in there ? 4 of the females have the "baggy chin" now Tank lights been on half an hour and alpha male chasing already
Could you post up a link or pic. of your trap ? Just curious to see what you're using

Have read 21 days holding, have read 28 days holding, I'm guessing one been hildong for a week at least, was nice getting to see tham mating last night, the males have really coloured up and diving everywhere, lots of chasing, the sooner I can get a bigger tank to move the Tropheus into the sooner I free up another tank, coud put all the females in there
On a sidenote the Kungweensis have taken up centre stage because of the Cyps pushing everything out of the way, watched the two Kungweensis kick seven shades of s**t out of one of the BN Plecs

Just had a look over on fleabay, I have a similiar box thingy, I have used it to keep fry in temp...
Don't know if it would be to tight for your Cyp and maybe stress her out

A couple of my males are getting frisky and colouring up a little more lots of shimmering

My Male Ventralis is starting to change colour as well and chasing the females around

The Calvus are shimmering and dancing to boot really need to get a shift on for a grow on tank but cannot make my mind up on the grow on tank as idealy I want it in the living room all I have at the mo is a 40L cheap as chips tank that looks naff

I just sold my smaller tanks I wanted an FX5
I'm on the lookout for a couple of clearseal tanks (small) and I'll stash them inside the main tank cabinets If only they can hold off till the end of the month
