Hi everyone I recently started a tank. I added some ammonia the other day to start the cycling process and it’s been about 4 days. I’ve done some tests and there’s no ammonia. When I did a nitrite test there was also no nitrite. What’s happening?

Need more information before we can help you. I am sure from what I am reading that this is a fishless cycle. Adding ammonia with fish in is dangerous to the fish.
1. Did you seed your filter with bio-media from a previously cycled tank?
2. How big is your tank and how much ammonia did you add?
3. What kind of test kit are you using, liquid or strips?
4. Do you have live plants?

Did you test the ammonia level half an hour after adding it (to allow it to mix in) to check you'd added the right amount?
What is the nitrate level in the tank water and tap water? If there's more in your tank water it must have come from somewhere.

Ye I tested after and it was at 4ppm

That's a bit more than is advised on here, but not high enough to cause a problem.
Have you added any more ammonia since the first dose?

Have you tested the tank water and your tap water for nitrate? Are they the same or different?

It is possible that the plants have removed all the ammonia.
