Should i take out my carbon filter while im cycling? I also want to change my aquarium to sand. Is it ok to cycle now and then turn it into sand in about 3 weeks or should i wait?

how are you cycling your tank first??
fishless adding ammonia
or with fish??

i would take it out as its usually used and works well to remove medications pollutants etc, so shouldnt really be needed!

i would change to sand now or after cycling. make sure its settled for a couple of days and all readings are good before adding fish.
also i would remove carbon its not really needed at the moment!!
