hi this is day one of the cycle
ph 7.0
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 0

is this normal?

Yep, you wont have any numbers until you add ammonia or a fish source of ammonia.. it generally takes 3 or 4 days to get enough from a fish to get a good reading.. I'm hoping you're fishless cycling.

yeh im fishless cycling.. i arnt adding ammonia just adding 4 fish flakes per day.

when im cycling, do i have to do water changes or just do it at the end of the cycle?

Read the thread at the top that's stickied and it will give you a lot more information. You're doing the right thing going fishless cycle, it's just going to take a little longer if you're doing it will flakes.

ok.. i added CYCLE. theres like bubbles above the water level. is this normal for the cycle to do that? or whats causing it

ok .. does anyone know what causes these bubbles to appear on the top of the water level on the glass?????????

day 2

still same results. when is it supposed to display different results?

There is another recent threat about someone cycling with fish flakes, seems a lot more difficult then using ammonia. I used cycle at the start as it came free but i dont think it had any effect. Are you sure the bubbles arent just from where you filled up the tank, I get lots of little air bubbles when i filled up the tank for the first time and when i did two big water changes.

they look like soap bubbles... so when am i supposed to see the chemistry levels rising?
