Im just about 2 add my 1st dose of ammonia to start my fishless cycle, when i bought my 23 litre Edge, i ordered a few bits and pieces of start up liquid before coming on this forum, Tetra Safestart, Nutrafin Cycle, would these be ok to use along with the ammonia and would they maybe speed up the Cycle? Thanks

They wont do any harm to use them but I wouldnt expect them to do much good.

The majority of products like them simply dont work, they claim to contain live bacteria which at some point they will have done but bacteria requires a food source and oxygen to survive, neither of which it gets in a bottle sat on a shelf for weeks / months.

As you've already bought them / got them free then you can use them if you wish but I wouldnt go spending any more money on them.

i am starting a cycle for one of my new tanks, and today i am going to ace to get pure ammonia too cycle my tank though my nitrate (the good stuff) its at 10 already from me attempting a fish in cycle, then i relized nope i will do a fishless

All you need to do a fishless cycle is a water conditioner to take out chlorine and other harmful elements that would kill the beneficial bacteria, and some pure ammonia.

Products that claim they speed up a cycle are no good and will not work. The only product that worked was called Bio Sipra, but that was discontinued a couple years back.
