ok well i had my first tank up and running in 2 weeks, cycle took 5 days everything was at 0 and was getting algae and coraline algae after 2 weeks lucky i guess....

now my 2nd bigger 4 feet tank is been running for 1 day and my nitrites is off the chart that i have.should i do water changes or leave it for how ever long it takes to cycle ? the rocks was taking out from an established tank...

i have crushed coral as my gravel biggish grains about 3cm deep is that to deep ?

the salt residue in my sump should i siphon it out ?

thanks

Well I suppose you could do a water change if you really wanted, but I've read up somewhere just to leave the tank alone whilst its cycling and let it take its course! Hopefully your nitrites will come down eventually and you should see a bloom in your nitrates! Once your nitrates are ) or near enough, then I would do the water change before adding any CUC! ;)

Thats my opinion anyways. Somebody abit more experinced than me might wish to differ! :)
