I soon will get rid of all my setup to go planted and the tank will be running with nothing in for around 2 or maybee more weeks and without fish for maybee a couple of months. Could my tank being empty casue it to go into another cycle?

The bacteria will certainly die down if not fed. How about keeping the filter media in another tank, either your own (if you have one) or somebody else's?

Hoe many fish would it take to keep the bacteria alive??? I may be able to get a couple of angels early to keep the bacteria alive as they will be part of my final stocking. I do have another tank but is a 10G and the filter is a fluval 305.

a certain bio load will need a certain amount of bacteria to take care of it.

so if your tanks empty all the bacteria will die becuase theres no bio load to feed it.

if you have 1 fish then theyll be enough for one fish or your bacteria will die down to the amount needed for that fish.

thats why with fish cycle your supposed to add fish weekly even after its cycled and when you do a fishless cycle you fully stock straight away cos otherwise the bacteria would die down again from what youve built it to.

My bioload wont be to heavy even when fully stocked.
Here it is:
2Angels
12 harlequin rosoboras
3 BN plecs
5 Corrys
3 ottos.

I will get the fish strait away then as soon as the africans are gone.

How long do you think it will take for the bacteria to die. Because they day the fish go i will change substrate and have a massive clean on the tank then the day after that i want to get fish will bacteria be dead by then?
