I was wondering, this guy at my lfs who has lots of experance with saltwater aquariums, told me that Cycle by Hagen works the best of any shelf product that cycles aquariums.

I have two (2) questions about this product.

1. Does it remove chlorine & chlormine?
2. How good does it work to cycle a aquarium?

I know bio-spira works the best, next in line is Turbo Start, but for an off the shelf product, how well does it work?

Thanks!

Doesnt tapsafe or water treater remove chlorimine and chlorine from the water for you? Best to use them anyway, but im not sure if these products do this job for you.

I have heard of these products, but cant give advice on wether they work well or not. Good luck with cycling.

1. No, it does not condition water, you still need to purchase a dechlorinator and conditioner. Buy yourself a bottle of Stress Coat.
2. I used Cycle once and it shot my nitrite level through the roof. I completely freaked and threw it out.

The best cycling product on the market appears to be BIO-Spira. It's pricey at around $17. It needs to be shipped in a cold-pak, or if buying from a lfs, it needs to be kept cold. Make certain it is.
