Cuttings?

Hi, maybe im being a bit newbish here but was just wondering if i take cuttings from my plants in my tank and plant them all be it in the gravel or a pot or something will they grow/survive?

I only ask cos i have taken cuttings from garden plants and wondered if the principal was the same perhaps?

Good Question as i have no dies at all, not sure but good to find out!!! as i might do the same!!! think they might need some kind of root on them though as they will need to root somhow?!?!?! but i may be wrong!!!

GOt a variety of plants but the one im looking to take cuttings of is Dwarf ambulia
