I decided i wanted a dedicated spawning tank rather than spawning in a 5 way split 2ft tank....

I got my 18" tank and divided it in to 2 sections, the divider is a condensation lid with straightners off a divider to keep it stable and straight, i then sealed it all the way round with aquarium sealent, put a filter in each side and then used black insulation to hide the divider and edges..

here is a few pics of the tank :)

Going to set 2 spawns off tomorrow so cant wait yay :)

Looks good and a great tip with the insulation tape......will have to remember that. Will the heater heat the other side ok too? and who are the two lucky pairs?

yeah it should easy warm the other side, its only a thin condensation lid and the heater is a 100W one so should be fine :)

Dont know which 2 yet, all of hte bettas are well conditioned so have to think lol

Decisions Decisions    You've got far too many to choose from!!!!!!! Think I'll get Andy to split ours like that

I think maybe The white halfmoon in my sig is well enough now to spawn, and thinking of maybe my DT as well, dont know though lol, just cant decide..

Im happy though that i ahve done the tank as it is cos having 2 spawns at once in the same time will be much easier especially when it comes to waterchanges and cleaning.

Everyone will be drooling over those babies......what colour female with the white halfmoon?

The female is more or less fully white, she has a slight tinit of sky blue when under light but i think the pair will be great :)

I tried condensation tray once it was Ok for ages but then it went brittle....I now use the craft canvas you get from hobbicraft! :good: :good:

She's sounds lovely and a perfect match for him. Hopefully you'll get some nice pastels :good: Me likes.......Me have babies yes????

Thats why i used straightners, i sealed them all the way round but the condensation lid still slots out and a new one can be slotted in :good:
