I have a plant. Ive had it for maybe two months and i believe its a java fern but i cant be sure because pet stores NEVER label their plants. It's pretty annoying.

anyway, it's suddenly started creating little tiny plants sprouting out of the very ends of its current leaves...is this normal? why is it doing it? for all i know it could be perfectly common, its just that ive never heard of it before...

Developing baby plants from it's leaves is normal to java fern :)

marvellous. i actually think they're kinda cute in a plant-y way. should i leave them there or can i evetually take them off and put them other places?

When they are big enough you can take them off. They should have some roots when they leave mommy and start their own life =)

I just leave em til they break off on their own. They usually float up or get caught in the filter inlet. I take em from there and use a staple to hold them to the driftwood til it can secure itself
