Curing Ich

i have heard that freshwater baths can cure ich but iv also heard it doesnt, does anyone know if this is true or not?

and also if using tablesalt in freshwater than putting the fish in the mixture will kill the ich, iv heard that also is this true?

It is true that saltwater ich will die in freshwater and freshwater ich will die in saltwater. Using it as a treatment is difficult mostly because dips in opposite water is very stressful for the allready sick fish
