As I have said before, I treated my sick fish friend (Black Beard the Betta) for five days with Maracyn Two. His pop-eye is finally gone, but how can I tell if the fin rot is gone? The edges are no longer brown, and it almost looks as if the end of the frayed tail section is being filled in with a "ball" of new tail tissue.

I'll try and get a picture for you.

if its cured you should notice no new torn or frayed edges and over the next few days u may also see clear edges on the ragged bits, thats normally a sign of new fin growth, but be warned it may not grow back as it was and the older the fish the slower to heal

also keep up with loads of water changes to aid the growth

is it better to keep the fish in the tank when only doing a 25% water change?

And also, what are some good live plants for betta? Mine's betting a weird "fuzz"
