So I have a new Green terror. I have read up heavily on them. Thus far he has been incredibly pleasant to have int the tank. He will most likely become more aggressive with time. Just wondering f anyone has any tips which can help curb aggressive tenancies and prevent casualties. Thus far I have heard the following.
-plenty of hiding spaces, have 4 caves in each corner, heaps of tall plants and large ornaments,
-set up distinct territories and corners in the tank
-over feed them rather than under feed them at regular intervals, to make it aware of an ample food source and, suppress hunting instincts.
His main competing tank mates are a female green severum, angel and a large bumble-bee catfish. They are all getting on great right now. They are all aggressive and territorial fish species but never show it, which has been great.
I know trying to curb aggression is something that can at times be futile and alot of it depends on the fish itself, but more tips to further help and minimise damage would be appreciated.
