I have read thru the post about keeping cultures but my question is, Is there a way to start a culture without having a one in the first place? Or do you HAVE to have a starter culture?
That's odd that you posted today,Amber. I was just thinking about you this morning because I haven't seen your cute little baby countdown sig lately. 163 days to go
Anyway, you definitely need a starter culture. What are you looking for, maybe I can help.

LOL yeah I'm getting along here. Got a little pouch going I've had to downsize drastically Having too much trouble taking care of all my tanks. I have posted about it before, but I'm not sure if I told you guys that I have sciatica and its a big part of why I have a hard time with my tanks. (I can explain if you aren't sure what that is) I have also been getting migranes (pregnancy migranes) so I've only got my bettas now. My tanks are sitting here because I have no place to store them and theres nothing in them!
Anyways. I was THINKING about using my 55 to spawn the bettas. Water changes wont have to be as drastic as they were with the discus in there (50% twice a week!) I'm still debating it tho. We are leaving this Sunday to go to NH for Thanksgiving so I cant start anything till we get back if I decide to do it. I was thinking about microworms.
See I was just curious about needing a starter culture because even that has to start from somewhere right? So theres got to be a way to do it without having a starter culture.
Anyways.. Thanks for the replies. When I get more serious about it I'll post or PM one of you about the cultures Wuv and Joker
