im thinking off growing a fair bit of this for my tank from 1 pot, just a bit of an experiment really.

tank 3 gallons ish quite shallow so i have more area

lighting 11 watt PC lamp

CO2 should i go easy carbo? or DIY CO2 with a small diffuser? somehow i cant see that working.

ferts 0.25 ml of TPN+ a day

maybe a few cory fry

do you think it may work?

I would grow it emersed and spread it out in standard compost in a propogater if you are just wanting to grow loads of it!!!

It will grow quicker emersed and algae free too. If you grow it in the substrate you are going to use in the tank then you just need some 'peat pots'.

These are available from the local garden centre and you can then just pick the whole peat pot up push it into where you want it to go in the substrate and cut off the 'lip' of the pot. It will obviously just become part of the substrate after a while.

No idea on heat. I have some on the windowsill in the kitchen but I am not paying fr electricity for light or heat. They will be warmer than the room because of the lid and the sunlight is plenty enough for them :)
