Culling Fry

I never cull fry. I don't see any reason why something shouldn't live, just because it doesn't 'look right'. If they have a serious problem, usually they will die. If they seem in pain, sure, I'll euthanise them, but that's it. I've had Guppies live their life, happy as can be, with only one pectoral fin. It never bothered them.

If I ever did, I'd use clove oil.

I don't do it but another option is feeding them to adult fish. Would make a nice meal for a predatory fish.

I usually feed the culls to my oscar if they are large enough. I couldn't just flush them or kill them but I figure that they should at least serve some purpose.

My guppy fry are raised among the adults, that way only the stronger survive, and i dont have to feel too bad. Still end up with alot of fry thogh. :D

i refuse to kill any animal... unless it is in serious pain or suffering. I woke up this morning to find one of my marble mollies had given birth, and i was actually late as i had to net them out and place them in the nursery :)

If you in the yorkshire area and have fry that you cant cope with, dont forget my rescue service :)
