I did find that none of my fish bothered with the cucumber so post up what happens when you drop some in

Hi,

I bought a Screwcumber on ebay last week and added cucumber to my tank for two days. I didn't see any of my fish take an interest or any signs of it being eaten.

I got up on Wednesday morning, grabbed myself a strong cup of coffee and plonked myself down on our seate to watch my tank (my early morning wake up routine). To my surprise I found one of my Oto's happily munching away on the cucumber.

This is probably my most satisfying moment fish keeping yet especially as my Oto's don't seem to eat algae wafers and my tank doesn't have much algae growth for them to graze.

I use the screwcumber too (got on eBay) great stuff

Screwcumber?
I thought you were just a poet, and didn't know it. Anybody have a link?

Thanks, that's not at all what I was picturing, but I suppose it would work better than a veggie clip, as the fish won't have to have their faces smashed to the glass. Pretty nifty. I might have to get one...or two....or three.

:)
It's great to watch my plec eating his greens  although it never does go for it straight away, always a couple of hours after its been dropped in!

Glad to hear everythings going ok!
