Quick question -- I just picked up 5 small crypts which had been in the LFS' tank for sometime and the roots are really long. Knowing how sensitive these are to being transplanted, should I trim the roots or try to bury them as is. Some of the roots are 5-6 inches long.

I have cut long roots on crypt's before with no problems when transplanting, they didn't melt, its very hard to replant them without doing it so i guess its the chance you take.

I've never had trouble w/ just trimming the roots and moving the plants. Should be fine as long as you leave a good inch at least of root.
