I am thinking of crushing some of my gravel to get a softer substrait. I can't see buying more if I can use what i have. I just need to know if there might be anything in there that could hurt the fish. I have lots and lots of gravel. It was cheap so I over did it. Can I use it?

All the lists say corys go well with mollies... Mollies need salt and corys don't. So do you put them together or not? I have one in with the mollies, and I would like to have more. I don't want to get them if it will hurt them though.
I need advice. I'm now confused again. :S It seems that the more I learn, the more confused I get.

you could have cories and mollys together but you would have to do it without adding salt, cories dont like salt where as your mollys do so you would have to keep the mollys in freshwater rather than slightly brackish. however mollys will survive in freshwater slightly brackish is much prefered so ideally not that good to mix. also if you want to crush your gravel you would have to make sure there were no sharp pieces i dont know much about gravel so il leave it at that.

Thank you!
Do you happen to know of a safe spreadable glue and top coating I can use? I want to build some caves and stuff for my tanks. When I do them I want to glue substrait on the outside to make them blend in. That caulk stuff is too thick. I tried that. I need a glue that is a little thinner, and a top coat that stays clear.
Any ideas?
