Crowntails Know A Good Qualiti Place In Usa,va

you wont get any "good quality" ones shipped for under $5. for a good quality, and good bloodline you would have to spend atlease $10.00 and $20.00 for shipping, with some exceptions of course.

I know of a good place (I am in VA)

there's a place called "Fox Mill Pets," they have two stores, both are in Herndon. You want to go to this address for your crowntail /halfmoon or whatever you want:

13300 Franklin Farm Road · Herndon, VA 20171 703.464.0962

I was there this past weekend and I bought a royal blue butterfly halfmoon male (that's a mouthful) for about $9+ tax. It's a bit more than what you're willing to spend, but its a better selection (in terms of their health and how they keep them) compared to PetCo in herndon (which also sells crowntails for the same price but in much worse condition).

Just give them a call, they said they usually get new stock on wednesdays (but be sure to call) and the fish guy that helped me out said he wasn't sure of their age but he's had his live way past a year and they are kicking (so they are relatively young).

Tell me how it goes.

Oh and if you are in Richmond /Ashland then you might want to try a place called Fin and Feather. They treat their animals well.

yap ido adres please :hyper:

I don't know if you said $5 because that's how much you budgeted for your betta or what but take time to consider how much fish meds cost if you posted $5 because that's all you had. Tank, dechlor, food, net, meds(possibly), it all adds up and if you don't have the spare cash for just the basic Melafix/Pimafix combo I would wait to get the fish. Fin rot and fungus is unfortunately pretty common in bettas because of their large fins and often small tanks. It's no big deal if you have meds on hand but if you can't get the meds for fin rot when you first notice it the rot can go all the way to the body and further. If it doesn't kill the fish at that point you're looking at months and months for him to regrow his fins and the rot could reoccur or the area could fungus.

I think I paid about $5 for my CT betta at PetSmart, but he was one of those rare good finds, and it's not like he's breeding material or anything.

What part of VA are we talking about btw?

He/she said they were from Richmond / Ashland area.

anyways, here's fin and feather (you can google them as well):

Fin & Feather Pet Center Inc

It's been about 2-3 years since I have been there (I moved) but they were always knowledgeable. I think their bettas stock sells quick so do call them before going over there. And I think they have a short return policy on their fish, i believe like 3 days.

But their fish will cost closer to $10

Tell me how it goes.

Remember to go to the specific store that i gave you. they have bettas at their other herndon store but they are veiltails.

And make sure you go with a parent / grown-up since you announced to the board that you're going to specific store on a specific day. There's alot of wackos out there, and if you're younger, you just need to be careful about what you say.

I cant't drive of couse i'm taking my whole family :shout:
I thought u said that they had halmoons!!! :look:
I whant to get a halfmoon butterfly :-(

They do, i bought a halfmoon butterfly from them last saturday.

Did you not find one that you liked? I suggested for you to call ahead to make sure they had what you wanted in stock. And in your original post you did say crowntail. But they do have half moons (i think they call them deltas) with butterfly coloring. So I didn't mislead you. Just call them next time.

Did you go to the right Fox Mill Pets? they are a small chain and they have two stores. I did tell you earlier that they have two stores and that you have to go to this one:

13300 Franklin Farm Road · Herndon, VA 20171 703.464.0962

and to call them. The other store has only veiltails. Show your mom/dad the Franklin Farm address and have them take you there!
