Honestly, speaking as One Who Knows Nothing, I'd say, go with the Crowntail - you want to reproduce multi-rays if at all possible and veils have the least number of rays, so however pretty that little girl may be, she's vastly unsuitable for the noble Robin.
(Blood will tell, my girl...)
I have only that one little female bought with all the problems, and as she so slowly improves, she's suddenly sprouting extensions at a rate and length that surprise me, as I hadn't been sure how much fin was eaten off by the horrible black stuff - and I seemed to be the only who even thought the poor little thing - sold as a male and as some sort of wild type, lol - was a crowntail.
Never know what you're getting in pet stores...
And a couple of weeks pre-breeding conditioning may produce some rapid growth in that Crowntail, as she's possibly very young?
Hopefully, an expert will step in.
I'm being selfish, of course, because if I can possibly manage it, I'd like a baby Robin that takes after dear old dad.
Plenty of Veiltails already around - we need more Quads!
