I have this wonderful male blue crayfish for a few months now and I'm thinking about getting a female cray for him.
I have had this question for a long time about what would happen if i tried to breed different colors of crayfish. Youtube tells me crossbreeding is possible. So if I bred a red female with a blue male or a white female with a blue male what color of babies should I expect? Are they going to turn brown or some ghost cray colors maybe?

If they are the same species but different colours, they can breed and the young can be anything that is similar to the parents or more likely a mixture and brown is common because it is the original colour.

It's preferable to breed the same colours so the young are pure coloured and don't throw all sorts of weird unwanted colours.
