Croaking Noises

Ok, so I know that sparkling gouramis make croaking sounds, but is it normal for a pearl gourami to make croaking sounds? Since I've seen one of my pearl gourami croak a few times now.

Yes, it is normal. That sound is really just an air bubble escaoing from the fish into the air when it breaths, making a croaking sound.
