Croaking gourami babies in bubble nest!

The female is guarding the bottom of the tank, below the babies. I watched her attack a full grown Keyhole cichlid.
I suppose the keyhole backed off? :p

Awesome, the parents look great  Good luck with the fry

Those are great pics. Thank you for taking them! I'm still trying to figure out FOR SURE if one of my pair of Croaking Gouramis is a girl. And they're such a lovely species. Yours are adorable.

Frozen BBS should work, though maybe not initially. If you can, try and find some frozen Rotifers. I tried a batch of Betta fry on frozen Rotifers at free-swimming stage, and then started adding frozen BBS a week later. It's been 4 weeks, and they're all still alive, happy, and growing FAST.

Thanks everyone. :D

aloaring - I think my ph is around 7.6 - 7.8, but i haven't tested it since I add my second Hagen CO2 diffuser to the tank. I should test it.

dwarfs - they were mostly sneak attacks:ninja:, and hit and run.

kiarra - Thanks for the advice. I will call around today to see if any LFS carry rotifers. I might eventually put the pair in a 10g to breed. If I do, I will be sure to have some live food cultures going.

How are they doing now? Still there?
I haven't seen any in about 5 days. I can't really tell if there are any survivors in the clump of java moss I floated in the tank, but I doubt it. :/

Their next spawn might have a better chance after I remove the Tiger barbs I have in the tank. The barbs are almost big enough to be moved to my cichlid tank.

I'm not looking forward catching 6 of them in a heavily planted tank.

Ah...poor babies.

And poor you. That is not going to be fun at all to catch those Barbs.
