I lost a tank last night around 2 AM, put a huge crack across the bottom panel of glass from end to end through sheer stupidity. Luckily i only had three fish in it, unluckily, they were bettas (two males and a female) and so i needed three seperate containers :shout: after the initial moment of shock I whipped into action, grabbing an empty 2.5, and empty critter keeper, and the bucket i use for water changes. Unfortunately there was no way to fill any of them up in nearly enough time which meant the only thing i could do was places them in the flow of the water (as it poured down my dresser and all over the floor). So i threw a fish into each one and proceeded to watch helplessly. There's at least five gallons of water on my floor, but all the fish are doing well. the female is living in the 2.5 with the tank's (10g strength) filter running to keep the bacteria alive and I was able to put the two males in the 10g QT tank with the gourami who was cycling it (used the dividers from the dead tank).

BUT I went to my fish store today with a 20 gallon in mind and the owner gave me a 20 high and a 10 (used but in good condition) for 20 bucks :D :D :D

yay!

WOW! tralk about the right place at the right time! i would have ripped his/her arms off trying to get them out the door before they changed thier mind! lol! good deal ! and that leaves room for more fish!!! (my favorite part of a new tank!!!!) any ideas yet?? also great job keeping the fish alive!

well, he's a pretty serious fish guy, and he likes me cuz i ask questions. actually, i've been to the store three times now and this is the first time i've bought anything  plus these were used tanks, he sells then tens for three dollars, so i wouldn't have minded paying for it. two tanks for twenty three dollars would still be pretty awesome, but twenty is even better :shifty:
